Who We Help

Helen Keller says it best,

I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do.”

Yes, Helen Keller is right. Poverty shows its ugly face all over the world. It is persistent, motivated, and breeds hopelessness. Our assault against poverty requires that we do something.

At the present time, Chicks for Children Foundation, Inc. serves children impacted by poverty within the local community in Conway, AR as well as the orphans and widows from the Kipsongo Slum – called Place of the Hopeless. We long to eliminate pockets of poverty. We want to identify groups of dedicated and compassionate people to change the world for the orphans, widows, and others who suffer from hunger and poverty.

The foundation has also impacted a variety of other local communities; communities within and outside Arkansas that have developed and implemented the Kids Helping Kids Make A Difference Instructional Modules in public, private, and parochial schools and in churches. The instructional modules very often culminate in the I CARE Chicken Dance with kids in the states singing to the chicken dance song, “I want to be a kid who cares about the kids in Africa!”, and the kids in Africa singing, “I want to be a kid who cares about the kids in America!”
