Dr. Mark is a retired professor in Elementary, Literacy, and Special Education at the University of Central Arkansas, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and Co-founder and Executive Director of Chicks for Children Foundation, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) Non-Profit. He is the co-author of EACH ONE – REACH ONE, a faith-based lesson series on equipping youth to fulfill God’s ambitious plans.

Mark’s wife, Linda, has been his soulmate for 48+ years. She is a Licensed Medical Technologist who retired from her Chemistry Supervisory position at Conway Regional Hospital in Conway, Arkansas. Linda is Co-founder of Chicks for Children Foundation, Inc. and works very closely with foundation activities.

In addition to their son, Jimmy, Mark and Linda have a daughter, Charlotte Cooper Eccles. She is a Licensed Physical Therapist. Charlotte is presently retired from physical therapy and has helped develop and implement leadership activities for the children and youth in Kitale. Her husband, Dr. Scott Eccles, is a dentist. They live in Houston, Texas. Charlotte and Scott have two wonderful children, Addison and Caroline. The family has become increasingly involved in foundation activities as well as mission-minded activities that serve their community.

Dr. Mark believes in YOU. He believes most of YOU cannot simply leave your homeland and assume roles as land-locked missionaries like his son, Jim. Yet, he believes YOU want to be senders; senders of support to orphans and vulnerable children to bless and to be blessed. Therefore, he wants Chicks for Children to represent YOUR head, heart, and hands.
